Assisted with any issues for a residence hall complex of 600+ students, helping the students and their families with their transition to The Ohio State University. Throughout the year, I've been a direct contact for residents needing assistance with anything they can think of. This includes working with other OSU departments and co-ordinating with emergency personnel to ensure the safety of the building and making sure incidents get reported to the appropriate staff members.This role has expanded on my abilities to hold difficult conversations and ability to arbitrate fairly and without bias. Being an RA at The Ohio State University has been an extremely valuable experience in my ability to communicate with people of all varying identities and holding conversations that are inclusive of everyone in a space.

My duties as an Office Assistant are to keep the lobby and the residence hall a safe and secure location for all of our residents to study and work. This role introduced me to people of all walks of life, varying vastly from my own experiences and enriching my knowledge of others and communication between people unlike myself.
