Oversees and manages the Minuteman III ICBM Engineering Order Tracker Project. Serves as a liaison between Engineers, Air Force Materiel Command Engineering Data Service Center, Air Force Nuclear Weapon Center Configuration Management, Project Team, and Line Management. Identifies technical and business resources needed. Reviews Engineering Orders and Engineering Drawings for compliance with ASME Y14 series of standards as well as other Air Force requirements. Manages schedules and prepares status and metrics reports on a weekly and quarterly basis. Assesses issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives. Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team.

Worked as part of a sustainment team to support the Minuteman III ICBM weapon-system platform. Developed engineering improvements to component designs, repair processes, and documentation at Hill Air Force Base. Components included launch support systems and missile suspension systems, solid propellant rocket boosters and flight control systems, utilized professional knowledge of aeronautical engineering.Served as a consultant on aeronautical engineering aspects of projects and provided aeronautical engineering support to the Systems Directorate of the United States Air Force.Supported various working groups as a team lead and mentor to groups of 3-4 other engineers. Responsible for peer reviewing all deliverables prior to delivery to the Systems Directorate. Ensured high technical quality, accuracy and timely delivery. Routinely applied the ASME Y14 series of standards in engineering drawing development and revision.

Supported the acquisition of new security technology to be used to control access to the launch facilities of the MMIII weapon-system. Gained familiarity of the Department of Defense (DoD) Directives 5000.1, "The Defense Acquisition System" and 5000.2 "Operation of the Defense Acquisition System".Performed a Technology Readiness Assessment for each component of a security system in less than 30 days. This enabled the program to pursue a technology maturation and risk reduction (TMRR) phase using out-of-cycle sustainment funds. Creating the potential for 7.5 million dollars in savings and a 14-month early start in schedule.

Worked as part of a sustainment team that maintained and protected the Minuteman III weapon-system platform through engineering services of maintenance, repair and upgrade of mechanical equipment and systems. Including shock isolation, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, utilizing professional knowledge of mechanical engineering.Served as a consultant on mechanical engineering aspects of projects and provided mechanical engineering support to the Systems Directorate of the United States Air Force.Supported a technical baseline compliance initiative of both the Missile Suspension System and the Launcher Equipment Room shock isolation systems by drafting 54 engineering orders in a 6-month time frame. Determined short- and long-term solutions for obsolescence and replacement of existing complex and major mechanical systems and equipment. Including: acquisition of a replacement Guidance Section Liquid Cooler Test Set, redesign of Guidance Section Liquid Cooler Tank Assembly and replacement of the Launch Tube Heater Motor.Completed timely reviews of engineering drawing packages. Ensured that the technical data, required for procurement of a new parts, was accurate and compliant to ASME Y14.100 and ASME Y14.5 (GD&T) standards.

Reviews applications to determine whether patents can be granted for medical devices inventions, designed to cause a change in temperature to the human body with a therapeutic result, and later for Power Plant inventions designed for combustion to create a motive fluid for purpose of propulsion. As a U.S. patent examiner, I handled these patent examining functions: Apply scientific and Mechanical engineering methods of research and investigation to find prior art to ensure that an invention is new and unique. Prior art is information that has been disclosed to the public about an invention before a given date - including any related patents, published articles and public demonstrations.Review patent applications to ensure conformity to formal requirements.Write legal office actions on patentability. Coordinate and communicate with specialists in related disciplines which includes patent applicants and their legal representatives.Independently performed these patent examining functions with some supervision.
