I am leading the Telecommunication Unit as a part of Fingrid’s Asset Management function. The unit and my team is reponsible for:- Telecom solutions for Fingrid's investment and renovation projects, ~100 parallel projects executing Fingrid's investment portfolio- Telecom network strategic planning and life cycle management- Telecom network construction and maintenance- Fibre network- Transmission networks- Telecom services at substations e.g. RTU, Teleprotection, WAN, IoT, CCTV, Condition Monitoring- Service procurement

At SCADA and Telecommunication Services Unit we had a great group of specialits to ensure the mission-critical SCADA and telecommunication services for our control centre, investment projects as well as asset mangement teams to ensure reliable power and green electricity market platform for our customers.My unit was responsible for:- SCADA- Nationwide telecommunication network construction and maintenance- Fibre network- Substation telecommunication: RTU, Teleprotection, WAN, IoT and VoIP - Operational grid data exchange between Fingrid and stakeholders- Data integration between SCADA and business applications- Service purchase for telecom and SCADA services

As an IT Manager I was responsible for: IT architecture, purchased IT services and the way we managed the data into a direction that enabled the company to gain the strategic goals.The task included also IT service procurement, steering of development projects, cyber security as well as finding new ways and technologies to be adapted in power system business.

Managed a group of six persons responsible for developing and maintaining 24/7 operational IT systems, eg. SCADA, Network Information System and Distribution Management System as well as GIS and Document Management Systems.I was also responsible for companywide IT procurement, including office-IT, telecommunication and IT-security services.We went throught several successful development projects with the group. The higlights including SCADA-upgrade, Secondary Susbstation Automation-project, GIS-development and launching new functionalities on NIS/DMS platform.

Scanclimber gave a great view to a entrepreneur driven machinery business. My task was to serve Scanclimber's clients, e.g. machinery rental and constructions companies, world-wide as a member of after sales team.

The experience I gained during the years at Fingrid is essential to understand the combination of power systems, electricity markets, IT and services needed to keep power systems running efficiently.I started as a trainee and thesis worker in June 2000 and continued with control centre operational IT-system maintaining and development tasks. One of the best experiences was the SCADA upgrade Project with GE.
