As an Equestrian Center Coordinator, I was responsible for managing health care protocols for a herd of 75 horses and assisting in evaluating 12 lesson horses for Rec programming. Additionally, I handled the recruitment, interviewing, hiring, training, and supervision of a team consisting of 16 barn supervisors and 11 instructors. I served as the Student Resident and Head Barn Supervisor at the UC Davis Equestrian Center. As a Barn Supervisor, my responsibilities included feeding horses, grooming, administering first aid, medication, and applying leg wraps when needed. The goal of the Ag Ambassador program is to educate the community about the importance of agriculture and promote our agriculture program and school farm.
