I am currently responsible for operations and am a member of the management team at Tietokeskus.Tietokeskus is a leading Finnish fast-growing ICT company that provides a wide range of IT infrastructure, products, and service solutions. Tietokeskus operates in sixteen locations around Finland.During my assignment at Tietokeskus, we have unified a scattered group of companies into one Tietokeskus. This transformation has required long hours and devotion from all personnel to make it happen.In production operations, the transformation has included, for example:- Several acquisitions and the establishment of joint production processes and supporting ITSM tools.Implementation of an ERP system and integration platform to replace the old, non-integrated system.- Rapid growth of service volumes, building the organization from scratch, and evolving structures as growth continues.- Centralization of logistic operations in one logistics and preassembly center in Salo, including EOL services. You will find my blog about it below (in Finnish).- Over the last three years, the organization has more than doubled.- Service delivery efficiency has significantly improved.- End-user satisfaction for services, measured by NPS, is over 80.Last but not least, personnel satisfaction for supervision has climbed to great heights, and the entire unit received a double A-rating in the People Power index (Suomen innostavimmat työpaikat).And as always, there is still a lot to achieve!

Business process development is my passion. Things do not have to be complicated. In most cases concrete fact based and efficient small steps trigger big improvements – without excess investments and direct positive impact to the bottom line. In the pursuit of perfect data many decisions are being left undone. Less is more but moving into opposite direction is far too common. Seeing possibilities instead of obstacles is the key.

Member of the board of SAP Finnish User Group. SAP Finug brings together Finnish SAP users and organizations and arranges a large scale of seminars and networking events. In 2016 I also became a member in multinational SAP User Group Executive Network (SUGEN) that assembles regularly at SAP Headquarters in order to discuss and influence strategic topics such as SAP technologies and licensing.www.sapfinug.fi

After a long period of hard work I decided to take some time off work and to realize my long time dream. On sabbatical I spent time with my family and friends. We travelled a lot and lived in Spain Málaga area getting familiar to Spanish culture, language and lifestyle. During my extended leave I also wrote a nonfiction book about information, management and change​.

I managed the group information technology and application management services. The group has its operations in several locations mainly in Finland and Nordics. My main responsibilities included translating business strategy and requirements of different business units into IT-roadmaps and operational service execution plans. The work was about managing extremely business critical application portfolio and services as well as defining and implementing cost effective, quality and secure infrastructure. During eight years in this position we successfully renewed all business critical systems by replacing outdated legacy software, enhanced quality and scope of infrastructure services, and simultaneously significantly improved overall cost effectiveness by lowering IT expenditure.As group CIO I was also leading a lean and highly skilled team of IT specialists. The work also included partner management, sourcing and IT procurement.During my assigment we renewed the whole outdated legacy IT-architecture and implemented SAP business technology centered platform.

I managed business solutions, Infrastructure and end user support services, corporate performance improvement & quality departments. I was a member of Teleste extended management board and reported to CEO. In addition to my IT and quality responsibilities I was also owner of the strategy process.My main tasks in the corporation was to build and execute a business driven IT strategy to gain savings but also to ensure return on investment on ERP & BI platforms and other business solutions (eg. Dynamics AX and MS CRM). After eight Teleste year's I wanted to join Apetit, the best known frozen food brand in Finland. Apetit needed CIO to change their IT-operations and to ensure successful implementation of large SAP-technology based project. I did not have prior SAP-experience but decided to seize an opportunity to learn.

I was responsible for business process improvement and maintaining ISO-certified quality- and environmental management systems. During the time when I joined Teleste, the company was growing strongly and its products had become more software oriented. Due to my strong manufacturing and project background I was assigned to manage a project in order to define and implement a product creation process (PCP) that would meet the new requirements. As a part of the project we also started our own certified project manager training program and during the first year we trained dozens of new project managers and project workers to master new way of working.Later I was assigned as program manager for global ERP/CRM project. I was was responsible for technology and supplier selection, contract negotiation, project budget and schedule. After successful implementation I was promoted to Director of Quality and IT.

I managed production control department. The work included volume-, capacity- and manufacturing execution planning and handling of outbound logistics. Volume and capacity negotiations and communication with OEM customers (Saab Automobile and Porsche AG) was an important part of the work. During 18 months in this position I succeeded in gaining solid confidence of our customer's. I was also managing a project in order to streamline production planning and execution processes in order to improve conveyor line balancing efficiency. As a part of my eMBA studies I wrote a theses of this project which graded maximum scores from my supervising professor Jorma Taina. As department manager I was also leading a team of planning professionals.In summer 2000 I was asked to join Teleste Corporation.

I was responsible for product quality in transfer project of Porsche Boxster production from Germany to Finland. After start of production I managed customer connections with our client Porsche AG regarding all quality related negotiations. My work also included responsibility of the whole logistics chain from the manufacturing plant to the local car dealers in the USA (Porsche Cars North America). We managed to satisfy very demanding quality requirements since start of production. After two years in this position I was promoted to head of production control department.

I was responsible for change management and implementation of design changes in manufacturing of Saab Cabriolet production line. The work included close co-operation with our OEM client's R&D and material planning departments. I was recognised of excellent quality and I was soon offered a challenging assignment in the product quality department.

I started to work with production controllability analysis and improving manufacturing execution processes. In addition I wrote my master's thesis about production control and manufacturing execution in passenger car profit center. After getting excellent grade of my thesis from supervising professor Markku Pirjetä, I was hired by the company to manage quality- and manufacturing execution improvement projects until I went to perform my military service in the Finnish army.
