I have been lucky in that I've managed to be at shops just when they were doing their breakthrough work. Smugglers' Inn is a case in point. For twenty years, SI had been an unprofitable theme restaurant. I arrived at the exact moment they started dishing out clever, persuasive advertising. And better clam chowder.Actually, Smugglers' Inn is a partnership between myself, freelance art director, Carol Henderson and whomever else we rope in on a given project. We essentially do what we do when we're freelancing with the exception that we actually get to produce much of the work we present. It turns out that dealing with clients directly makes everything simple. With me in California, we'll be looking for projects on the West Coast. Meanwhile, I'm outlining a prequel, assuming that it's only a question of time before Pink Plastic is turned into an e-book app and a major motion picture. Goals? I'd like to direct this.Specialties: I enjoy working in an agency environment, but I'm quite capable of working on my own. My experience directing has changed how I write in a similar way to how acting changes forever how one directs actors.
