Hi there! My name is Jarmo Ikonen and I am a Finnish Industrial Designer with expertise in plastic design using the rotational molding process and concept design. I have extensive experience designing a wide range of concepts, including electronic gadgets to futuristic industrial robots, and different innovative waste recycling methods. I am also the holder of multiple patents. After graduating from the Lahti Institute of Design and Fine Arts in 2010, I have worked as both a freelancer and an in-house product designer. From 2018, I have been employed at Finncont, where I have completed projects in contract manufacturing for other companies and designed a variety of products related to recycling and waste management. In addition to my work at Finncont, I have also completed projects for clients around the world as a freelancer, ranging from small startups to mid-sized companies and individual business owners. I have a passion for creating new product designs that are not only aesthetically pleasing, but also highly functional and valuable to users. My areas of expertise include sketching, 3D modeling, and visualization, and I have a special interest in parametric and algorithm-aided design.
