As one of the original founding members of the Nike Innovation Digital Sport group in 2010, I was responsible for taking foundational program management processes and core competencies from Nike+ wearable device hardware technologies into integrated software ecosystem that included mobile, web, and data platform development teams. I was responsible for leading hardware development and system integration of Nike's most compelling and complex product initiatives, the Nike+ FuelBand. This heavily recognized and awarded product has been described as disruptive and innovative, and has accelerated the transformation of Nike into a new digitally relevant technology company. Vp, Consumer Device SolutionsPictureiq 2000 - 2001Iomega turned to PictureIQ, a startup spun out of Adobe, to accelerate the Zip storage technology presence in the consumer digital photo marketplace. Iomega licensed the PictureIQ hardware reference design, embedded image editing software, and complete TV based 10 foot UI information architecture, interaction design and visual center. Upon joining PictureIQ to lead the Consumer Device Solutions Group, I promptly stepped in and drove alignment on key FotoShow product requirements that were not yet defined, aggressively filled key core team competency gaps, and established product development processes that were previously not existent. Because of those efforts, the team successfully shipped FotoShow product in volume and on target for key Christmas holiday season. The FotoShow was nominated Best of Show at PC Expo 2000 by CNET, and allowed PictureIQ PhotoBoard reference development kit offering to attain key license agreement for similar CD-RW based consumer product for HP.

Because OEM mobile phone software systems at that time were proprietary and mobile networks were not yet capable of delivering over the air firmware updates direct to users, I was hired by Tegic to ensure T9 was delivered with exceptional usability expertise, rigorous quality testing, effective integration, and defect free software implementation. Leveraging my deep knowledge in medical embedded software development, I quickly instituted a requirements driven software development process, established crucial quality management capabilities, and defined clear operational protocols for OEM engagements. Senior Manager, Sofware DevelopmentNeopath, Inc 1992 - 1997As an experienced senior embedded real time DSP software developer, I joined NeoPath to architect an RTOS software based solution for the world's first automated cancer screening medical device, the AutoPap. The microcopy based software engine controlled the complex automation of a high speed, image capture and processing system. I was then asked to leverage the broad systems knowledge of the AutoPap software system architecture, and serve as the lead technical program manager to get NeoPath’s first medical product successfully through clinical trials and deployed into commercial operations as the new “standard of care”. After successful PMA from FDA and NeoPath IPO, I championed a new corporate wide product development process to address new QSR regulations and to integrate all NeoPath departments with defined roles and responsibilities into a single unified process. I was then promoted to head up NeoPath’s systems software group with a staff of 23 engineers, and advance software development capabilities to meet the AutoPap product portfolio needs.
