As a Technology Aide, I worked alongside the district's System Technician in the maintenance and management of the district's information system. My main duties included technical support through our help desk system, repair and maintenance of district workstations and laptops, management and monitoring of over 3,000 student Chromebook laptops, and the installation and management of IP security cameras, Cisco Meraki access points, and HP/Aruba network equipment.In the summer of 2019 I participated in the construction of Dallas Intermediate School, which houses students in grades 3-5. Throughout the project I helped with the installation of the building's MDFs, wireless access network, security cameras, workstations, and Promethean interactive displays. Throughout the project I got to help create the building's network from the ground up. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, I helped the district move to a remote learning environment. I helped staff get familiar with new remote software such as Google Meet and GoGuardian while providing remote support to resolve technical issues. I was also involved with the restructuring of the district's Chromebook fleet, moving towards a one-to-one model of deployment and using GoGuardian to help ensure safe and effective use of the hardware
