About Jarod Emahizer

I'm Jarod—a leader, innovator, and relentless problem solver with over a decade of experience across diverse fields. From my early days in the cornfields of Nebraska to commanding missions with the 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne) as a U.S. Army Officer, and now as a small business owner, I've always pursued one goal: leveling up.Reflecting on my journey, I sometimes wonder where a different path might have led. But when I consider the unique experiences, the people I’ve met, and the first-class leadership development the military provided, there’s no doubt—I chose the right road. Trading in my uniform for leather dress shoes hasn't changed my drive; each morning, I remind myself, "Today can be the best day yet, and I have the power to make it so."As the owner of Invictus Practical, I've built a brand that delivers innovative, trusted solutions to the multi-gun sporting industry. Our products, featured in major media, are designed with professionals in mind, ensuring quality and performance at every turn. But my passion for innovation doesn’t stop there—I'm now diving into the renewable energy sector, developing cutting-edge solar panel technology that could redefine the industry. The future holds countless opportunities, and I’m excited to take on the challenges ahead. Wherever the journey leads, one thing is certain: I will approach it with the same professionalism and commitment to excellence that has guided me thus far.

I have the honor of owning one of the most innovative multi-gun sporting goods companies in the world. Featured in the John Wick series, used by professional athletes, and most importantly the choice for thousands of shooters worldwide. I love getting to speak with consumers daily who use Invictus’ products and rave about it. I had the privilege of taking over operations after its founders, my brother-in-law, death in 2019. During that time, I assumed the management of all existing marketplaces now including 58 authorized dealers in the U.S.A. and 9 international. In addition, I've gotten to expand our reach by proudly supporting the USMC Shooting Team and the West Point Shooting Teams.Despite the hardships felt throughout 2020/2021, I was able to expand our marketplace reach by 3% domestically and a proud 11% internationally through new authorized dealer contracts spreading the reach of our products and giving our brand a quicker avenue for procurement. I think one of the greatest achievements I have undertaken during this journey is the self-development of my business acumen. As someone who didn't come from a business background either through practice or educational study, my perfectionist nature propelled my self-education in business from the basics to advanced topics leading me on a journey through accounting, marketing, B2B & B2C sales, supply chain management, product & program management, customer relations, or essentially anything that could add to my quiver of business acumen arrows to make my business journey a bullseye. No two days are the same. One day, I am learning coding and website development to help increase the site visitation by an outstanding 163% and our new site visitation by 170% over the previous year. Next, I am diving down Just-In-Time manufacturing techniques to keep a low overhead and completing a data analysis package to identify supply chain shortcomings & build new vendor relationships.

    Operations Manager
5Th Special Forces Group (Airborne) - Us Army Apr 2015 - Mar 2018
Fort Campbell North, Kentucky, United States
While deployed in both 2015 and in 2017 in support of OPERATION INHERENT RESOLVE covering the area of operation in Syria, I was given the responsibility of supporting the teams of America’s most highly trained Special Forces Operators. To successfully accomplish my role, I was slotted as a key player in synchronizing the logistical movements throughout the Theater of Operations by accurately accounting for and maintaining awareness of the logistical movement of both personnel and equipment in and out of our Theater of Operations. As our Area of Operations expanded across four countries, being able to capture a snapshot of the most current information quickly and accurately was of the utmost importance. To solve this, our operations team designed, tested, and implemented a Battlefield Common Operating Picture. This COP for short, allowed our team to manage a multi-front, multi-country, multi-service agency, 5000+ personnel battlefront daily providing real-time reporting to the soldiers on the battlefronts as well as information on the command level, Joint Chiefs of Staff, and the Presidency.Since information is only as good as those who know and understand it, our team personally onboarded new arrivals into the Theater of Operations through intelligence, a common operating picture, and mission planning briefs to preserve the past operations, current focus, and future planning efforts despite a continuous rotation of personnel. Additionally, thanks to our high level of knowledge of operations, our team launched and managed an internal problem-solving task force that presented out-of-the-box solutions to provide our battlefield commanders solutions to problem sets. Finally, during this time I was honored to be selected as a Liaison for battlefield management and deconfliction for the northern border of both Syria and Iraq. This position required overcoming a plethora of obstacles such as language and cultural barriers. A very satisfying job experience.

    Executive Officer
5Th Special Forces Group (Airborne) - Us Army Sep 2013 - Oct 2017

Composing the bulk of my duties while assigned to the 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne), I was the second in command and responsible for compiling and creating weekly reports to the Unit Commander. As part of my duties, I managed a $200,000 department budget, a $1.2 Million unit budget as well as maintained responsibility for over $43.8 million dollars worth of equipment and inventory and a 160-personnel unit.In addition to my normally assigned duties and responsibility synonymous with a U.S. Army officer, I assisted the Company Commander with the management of the unit’s day-to-day activities, administrative tasks such as policy creation & implementation, as well as coordinating intra-unit training for the 160-personnel, nine department company for continuous improvement and quality management in accordance with our commander’s guidance. As a billing official for our Government Purchase Card Program, I conducted monthly audits on our purchases with a 100% pass rate with 0% fraudulent activity during my 2-year period in the position, receiving high remarks from the 1-Star General’s Mission and Installation Contracting Command.I prided myself on being an asset to the unit. To accomplish this with the fluidity of our deployment schedules, I was personally requested by both the Unit Commander, Lieutenant Colonel, and the Company Commander, Captain, to remain with the Rear Detachment stateside to perform the duties of the Battalion Commander (Chief Executive Officer), Battalion Executive Officer (Chief Operations Officer), Battalion S4 (Senior Budgeting Manager), and Company Commander (Department Supervisor) simultaneously for a 6-month period while the unit was deployed.During this time, I received my certification as a U.S. Army Special Operational Forces (SOF) Jumpmaster. A prestigious honor enabling me to plan, prepare, and execute Airborne operations for conventional and SOF-specific aircraft and parachutes.
  • 5Th Special Forces Group (Airborne) - Us Army
    Chemical Defense Expert
5Th Special Forces Group (Airborne) - Us Army Oct 2014 - Apr 2015
Fort Campbell North, Kentucky, United States
In addition to my normal assigned duties under Operations Manager, I was entrusted as the Chemical Defense Expert for our Theater of Operations in support of OPERATION INHERENT RESOLVE. During this time, I was the direct assistant to the Battalion Operations Officer, Direct of Operations, and was entrusted with identifying solutions to chemical and biological problem-sets. A major issue, I worked closely with inter-agency members, and members of our follow-on units to provide quick implementation and inexpensive response solutions for our Syrian units to prevent the possible use of chemical weapons against their mission sets. Finally, while stateside, I completed the compilation of 12 monthly Unit Status Reports to provide the 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne) Commander, Chief Executive Officer, an assessment of his unit’s wartime readiness. • 5Th Special Forces Group (Airborne) - Us Army
    Team Leader
5Th Special Forces Group (Airborne) - Us Army Feb 2014 - Sep 2014
Fort Campbell North, Kentucky, United States
As a team leader deployed to Jordan under a Joint Combined Exchange Training (JCET) mission set, I was directly in charge of, and responsible for, the safety and actions of one U.S. Army SOF-Support Soldier, as well as the Officer-In-Charge of 3 separate, 12-Man Canadian Special Operations Forces teams in a semi-hostile environment. We worked seamlessly to overcome a foreign language deficit and cultural differences as a team to maximize the training opportunities of 23 Jordanian Soldiers. During this time, we completed an array of day-to-day training plans, provided mentorship, and completed 35 complex training scenarios within a 6-month timeframe often completing training in conjunction with Jordanian Special Forces and Jordanian Tier One level units. A task I am especially proud of as our previous teams deployed under the JCET mission had struggled with displaying the seriousness of the issue to our U.S. Embassy in Jordan. Our team was able to procure upgraded weapons, Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) protection systems, and vehicles to aid in Jordanian wartime support to both Jordan and to U.S. Forces. This deployment was eye-opening to me as I gained extensive knowledge of where I was professionally, expanded my personal horizons, honed my ability to lead and coordinate, and most valuable to my career it allowed me as a leader to work without direct oversight to find my weaknesses and strength in my ability to plan, prepare, and execute on mission sets.
