I am a passionate environmental educator. Who believes strongly in bridging the seemingly growing gap between the scientific community and the public, through increasing scientific literacy in pubic schools. Making science and an understanding of how we interact with the natural world around us approachable, is the best way we make the necessary societal changes we need to in order to move back towards living in symbiosis with the world instead of against it.Education should be interesting, interactive and engage all of the senses. Education must be adaptive and meet students where they are at, my passion is getting to know students and finding where their life and interests intersect with science and the natural world (especially f they've been told it doesn't).
