I am a trusted general counsel, senior executive advisor, and corporate lawyer with nearly 20 years of combined in-house and private practice experience. I advise clients around the world and across a broad range of industries in executing their business objectives while minimizing risk and costs in dynamic market conditions.Currently, I serve as the Head of Legal and Compliance for Outokumpu Stainless USA, which is the Americas business unit of Outokumpu Corporation (HEL: OUT1V), the parent company based in Finland. In my role, I am a member of the Americas management team and a trusted advisor to the Americas President and CEO. I oversee governance, compliance, international trade, governmental affairs and relations, M&A, litigation management, labor and employment, and environmental, health, and safety (EHS).Prior to joining Outokumpu in 2021, for 8 years, I served as the assistant general counsel of Novelis, a US-based global leader in aluminum rolled products and the world’s largest recycler of aluminum. I reported to the general counsel and advised on M&A, corporate strategy, commercial contracts, and compliance.In the earlier part of my legal career, I worked for an Am Law 50 firm (King & Spalding) and an Am Law 200 firm (Calfee, Halter & Griswold LLP), handling corporate, M&A, and capital markets matters for public companies and private equity firms. I am admitted to practice in Ohio and Georgia.
