As a Technical Instructor my resopnisblites were to conduct classroom and on-the-job instruction for all journeymen and apprentice mechanical personnel to enhance the knowledge and improve the skills and abilities necessary to effectively maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all related equipment. I also provided the development and/or acquisition of training programs and materials for classroom and on-the-job training and recommend improvements to the existing programs. Further responsibilities included instructing trainees in the safe use of shop equipment and tools and monitored and evaluated the progress of employees in training and identify overall training of units supported, by developing and delivering training programs. I would use the assessments to identify performance deficiencies and recommend future training and assists branch managers in identifying training needs. Completing, submitting , and maintaining accurate up-to-date training records, required reports and schedules were amongst some of the other responsibilities that I had.

As an Inspector my duties include removing defective bus components such as power steering boxes, air conditioning compressors batteries, transmissions, and differentials; install new or overhauled parts to the vehicles, complete visual and auditory inspections using a variety of equipment such as volt ampmeters, pressure gauges, and other testing equipment to perform trouble shooting and diagnosis to mechanical, fuel lubrication, electrical, brake, transmission and pneumatic systems of the MARTA buses, perform road service when bus has mechanical failure, operating road service truck and performing repairs to the vehicle on sight, assist and instructs other employees on work methods and procedures in various types of diagnosis and repairs, assist in retrieving vehicles from accident scenes and adverse weather conditions, record all information of appropriate repair on inspection forms, use steam cleaning equipment to clean engines, transmissions and other components as needed in performing repairs to buses, as well as perform other related duties as assigned.

As an Adjunct instructor I provided students with professional online and in person instruction and laboratory oversite for subjects matters dealing with the Diesel Engines and other systems of Heavy Duty automobiles. I prepared weekly lesson plans that met approved course guidelines and lab management plans.
