Jarrett Davis is a senior, mechanical engineering student at Alabama A&M University where he maintains a 3.96 GPA. Jarrett is a proud AAMU Honors Program scholar and stands as one of the program's New Member Representatives with the aspirations to help cultivate and prepare the generation of AAMU scholars that come behind himself.Jarrett has plans to work in the airline industry as a manufacturing engineer; however, he is open to other engineering and leadership positions. As an African American male, Jarrett hopes to inspire other black students to explore the depths of the world even beyond engineering. He lives by the phrase “aspire to inspire” in hopes of being a beacon of light for everybody around him. He loves to pour life into others, especially when they are faced with the challenges of life.Jarrett was born and raised in Mobile, Alabama. As a child, he was always interested in STEM, but he believes his engineering career started in middle school when he built is first model, remote-controlled airplane. It was that captivating experience that solidified his career interest. Besides STEM-related activities, Jarrett enjoys learning about psychology/human behavior, playing basketball, doing escape rooms, and listening to poetry.
