• Co-founded the State Attorney’s Gang Prosecution Unit.• Investigated and prosecuted gang members, drug gang members, and members of criminal organizations involved in murder, attempted murder, ship invasions, drug trafficking, armed robbery, armed smash and grab burglary, smash and grab robbery, and firearms trafficking.• Wrote the first warrant in Florida authorizing a search for gang evidence.• Litigated and obtained the first court order in Florida admitting gang evidence at trial.• Authored several manuals and regularly presented at national law enforcement conferences.• Developed prototypes and pilot projects, including a program designed to combat gang- and drug gang-related homicides.• Coordinated closely and extensively with investigators and leadership from federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies, including the FBI, DEA, ATF, United States Attorney's Office, Florida Department of Law Enforcement, and South Florida's several local law enforcement agencies.• Consultant to the U.S. Army on the first gang prosecution in a military court. • Involved in standing up the Regional Domestic Security Task Force and its Investigations and Intelligence Subcommittee, following the attacks of 9/11.• Prepared a compilation of all Florida law relevant to the investigation and prosecution of terrorism.
