Finance:Responsible for reconciliation and processing of all benefit premiums excluding 403B, donations, payroll deductions and vendors.Accurately review, code, and process vendor invoices, as well as reconcile any discrepancies.Identify costs savings to Variety Care through thorough invoice analysis.Maintain vendor accounts while staying in compliance with company policies and procedures.Perform duties of the Accounting Clerk when they are absent.Assist in cash audits at clinics.Assist in daily cash counting and deposit.Payroll:Ensure all payroll functions are performed in accordance with established policies and procedures.Accurately keep timekeeping records and processes payroll data utilizing timekeeping/ payroll software system.Compile payroll data such as hours worked and deductions to be withheld.Enter new pay rate increases with the approved Payroll Change Form and calculate retro pay when necessary.Record changes affecting net wages such as exemptions, insurance coverage, and other deductions as well as record data concerning transfer of employees between departments.Maintain payroll records in compliance with state and federal regulations, periodic reports of earnings, taxes, and deductions.Complete payroll adjustments and corrections as necessary.Prepare and issue paychecks on a biweekly basis, every other Friday.Work with the payroll software vendor when needing assistance with payroll processes and reports.Respond to employees' inquiries regarding timecard, and payroll.Assists with year-end audit as required.
