I work as a reporting and database consultant for the UC Davis Medical Center. I have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of IT professionals in gaining insights from sea of data we are all currently swimming in. My projects currently deal with data from medical records, materials management, and database performance.

• Analyze patient and hospital data, determining where compliance and efficiency opportunities align to intended patient outcomes; strategically engaged with health care practitioners to understand where significant risk potentials are evident, how mitigation tools can monitor and minimize impacts/costs.• Provide ad-hoc analysis via queries of industry (UHC, CMS, other sources) and internal analytic data to provide tools for monitoring and reporting process improvements; recommend on-going solutions with detailed analysis for non-technical audiences.• Devise mid-level provider reporting mechanisms for Ongoing Professional Evaluation Competency (OPPE) purposes, mirroring physician reports, utilizing Joint Commission directed competency measures.• Support multiple initiatives as the business, technical liaison working directly with IT to build efficient, automated solutions that support the growing corporate structure of the health system.

I analyze business data as well as maintain data dictionaries for the Data Warehouse. I use Informatica Data Quality, Metadata Manager, PowerCenter, SQL Developer and Oracle products in my day to day tasks.

I worked with accounting data using Oracle systems and software. I was tasked with creating applications with Oracle Application Express (APEX). I also was tasked with maintaining SharePoint templates, forms and data.

Completed 9-week intensive web development program. Learned and practiced Ruby on Rails, HTML5, CSS, Test Driven Development, Javascript (AJAX, jQuery), Git and Source Control, Heroku, and Agile Development.

Responsible for daily operations of an $18 million a year general merchandise store.
