► Invented a technique for comprehensively measuring how receptor proteins interact, achieving more than a 10-fold increase in scale and sensitivity compared to previously existing methods► Built a high-throughput pipeline with robotics and streamlined recombinant protein production that enabled carrying out the largest receptor interaction screens yet published at the time.► Discovered multiple novel receptor interactions that provided the missing pieces to resolve clinical mysteries or unappreciated biological mechanisms, including discovering the natural ligand to a major immunotherpay target, a cancer-associated protein linked to immune evasion, and a neuronal receptor directing synaptic plasticity. ► Adapted the technologies I developed to aid the scientific response to the COVID-19 Pandemic, which resulted in the discovery of two viral receptors which were later independently replicated and found to explain how some are more susceptible to severe viral infection than others.► Computationally integrated the large-scale biochemical datasets I generated with single-cell resolution expression data to map receptor-mediated cell-to-cell connections across the human body. Used these integrated data sources to construct a mathematical model that predicts from biophysical first-principles the behaviors of collections of cells.

► Worked together with highly multi-disciplinary groups of students spanning fields of engineering, including completing projects in fabricating microfluidic devices, biomedical data analytics, and designing genetic circuits.► Assisted as a program coordinator, advising students on their projects and organizing team-building activities.

► Investigated a previously-intractable gene's role in Drosophila neural development by being among the first in the department to implement CRISPR genome editing. Included independent work in genetics, immunohistochemistry, behavioral testing, live-cell functional assays, and automated image analysis.►Applied a statistical model to gene expression data from human cancer patients to quantify how cancer disrupts the internal functioning of the circadian clock.
