About Jarrod Fusco

Ever since I was the young and impressionable age of 6 years old, I was interested in computers; something about monochromatic screens, 5.25 inch floppies, and dying from dysentery on Oregon Trail really caught my attention. Around the same time, my parents bought a 𝑮𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒘𝒂𝒚 𝟐𝟎𝟎𝟎 desktop with Windows 95, an eye-pleasing 800x600 CRT monitor, and 𝑨𝒎𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒄𝒂 𝑶𝒏𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒆 pre-installed. My battle-cry quickly became the sweet sound of dialing into the internet and hearing "you've got mail" on a single phone-line that I prayed nobody interrupted while I was busy discovering the world. Computers were for me and this was just the beginning—𝙄 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙨𝙤𝙡𝙙.By the time I was in middle school, I was completely convinced that anything could be learned from the internet. On one fateful day of internet adventures, I discovered web design and administration through the many HTML tutorials located on the now defunct 𝑾𝒆𝒃𝒎𝒐𝒏𝒌𝒆𝒚 website. I used my newly acquired skills by utilizing 𝑨𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒍𝒇𝒊𝒓𝒆, a now mostly unused web provider, for the building of a Harry Potter fan website—I was a meme before memes existed. Eventually, my skills were put to good use administrating more serious websites: my middle school and high school. Although I no longer consider myself a web designer or administrator, my overall computer skills would prove useful later in life through my current career as a Senior Enlisted Leader in the U.S. Air Force with a background in Cybersecurity.
