Lead the Continuous Improvement efforts in both foreign and domestic manufacturing facilities as well as corporate headquarters. Use Lean tools and techniques to enhance the manufacturing efforts by developing improvements such as: Lean time-balanced FIFO cells, visual management, standard work, flow-enhancing factory layouts as well as creating the appropriate flow type depending on the manufacturing process need. Work with factory operators to enhance their work areas to ensure an effective, productive and safe environment. Engage all areas of the business to help develop tools to drive improvements. Engage the factory in 5S cleanup routines. Manage the maintenance department to ensure a basic PM system is maintained, as well as directing facility priorities. Supervise the factory with one other to ensure productivity and efficiency is steady and reliable, and that we meet our delivery expectations. Develop spaghetti diagram and use flow analysis to refine current processes. Utilize SQL databases to maintain and control multiple facets of the facility. Manipulate raw data using visual management techniques to create easy to understand interfaces for the facility. Create software platforms to develop flow between departments for sample creation processes, FTB processes and facility requests. Use RFID technologies in combination with outbound shipping to enhance the effectiveness and accuracy of the packing process.
