Jarrod is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with more than 7 years of experience on IFRS and US GAAP audits, primarily handling insurance and asset management engagements. Currently, Jarrod is an audit manager at BDO Cayman Islands wherein he mostly handles captive insurance and fund engagements. He is also part of BDO Cayman’s Technical and Training Committee, and their IFRS 17 key resource person. Jarrod started his career in SyCip Gorres Velayo & Co.(SGV)/EY Philippines. His experience was primarily in the audits of financial institutions, particularly insurance companies. He has also been extensively involved in financial accounting advisory engagements catering mostly on insurance operations and contracts. Since 2018, he was already part of SGV’s IFRS 17 technical team which focused on impact assessment engagements and later, became one of their IFRS 17 accounting key resource person.Jarrod graduated Magna Cum Laude from Colegio de San Juan de Letran - Intramuros. He placed thirteenth in the October 2017 CPA board examinations.
