As a Technical Account Manager, I work with customers to ensure that SAS solutions meet and evolve with their business needs. This includes collaborating on technical issues with various SAS teams to drive issue escalation and resolution, advocating for the customer's requirements, and understanding the SAS portfolio of products.

My primary role is to customize the open-source help desk software platform (OTRS) that we use for the needs of repair organizations (plumbers, HVAC, electricians, etc ...), HOA's, office managers, and design professionals. As the manager, I am responsible for customizing the software to allow us to offer a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution for our customers. Using a Rackspace Unix hosted configuration, we integrated a customer payment/management portal that controlled access to the open-source software. This had never been done on our open-source-platform and proved to be very challenging. However, through planning and dedication we were able to obtain to create a "sell-able" product. Besides managing the development, I was also responsible for technical support and managing our marketing and web design vendors.

We provide both software solutions and property maintenance services to homeowners, managers, owners/investors, and realtors. As the Help Desk Manager, I managed the integration of a help desk ticketing software solution (OTRS) into their handyman business. I helped create the processes for managing tickets, dispatching jobs to personnel, and integrating smart phone device invoicing. I took the organization from paper based work orders to a complete hand-held, cloud solution. As a result, billing was reduced from days down to minutes while customer satisfaction increased.Previously, I also managed a project in which we used Matlab to collect apartment rental data from various websites to create a statistical rental rate predictor for triangle apartments and rentals. That project not only tested my Matlab scripting skills, but also my ability to manage non-technical portions of a project such as graphics design, documentation, and usability. When the project was completed, we exercised the statistics model with real data, validated it, and published it to a web site for public use.

I worked as a Project Engineer (PE) in the Digital Solutons Division at RTI. In this group we created desktop simulators to provide corporate and military training tools. Using advanced-learning technology, our customers increased student throughput, reduced training costs, and provided their students with unparalleled interactivity, fidelity, functionality, and skills confirmation testing. My major task as the PE was to help our project manager gather the resources needed to successfully complete the project on time. That resulted in me spending a lot of time determining our customer's requirements, implementing test plans, writing software, and field testing the results.
