I have played an active role in increasing the morale of staff and residents. Social and Health care work is incredibly rewarding. However, it is emotionally and physically testing and relationships are built between staff and the residents. Therefore, I have introduced both internal and external activities stimulating everyone's mental and physical wellbeing, which was particularly successful throughout the recent pandemic.Besides being responsible for supporting and supervising 60 members of staff. I am responsible for conducting quarterly supervisions and annual appraisals. Accepting and reviewing referee responses and ensuring that all referees have been contacted and chased, whilst making sure all gaps in employment history have been identified and explained. Carrying out internal audits and managing organisational and employee performance. Liaising with the CQC and Local Authority to ensure standards are continuously met.Acting as a 'point of contact' for all employees, and being readily available to provide practical assistance and or advice in dealing with a variety of incidents within the nursing home.
