I am a recent California Lutheran University 2010 graduate that majored in Exercise Science with an emphasis on Human Performance. I am currently working full-time for Laboratory Corporation of America as a Patient Service Technician in the greater Seattle area. I am continually looking for new opportunities to grow as a medical professional in ways that allow me to further comfort and assist patients in their pursuit of health. I have recently acquired licenses as a Certified Phlebotomy Technician-1 and Emergency Medical Technician-Basic, where I've excelled in Medical Terminology, Patient and Quality Care, Vital Assessment, and a caring yet professional bedside manner. During my training for both certifications (of which I placed at the top 5% among my peers), I sought after additional knowledge and experience through volunteer opportunities that allowed me to hone my skills as a health care professional. I understand the rapid progress of education required in the medical field and have kept abreast with current developments in medical care, treatment, and research.My specialties during my undergraduate career were advanced exercise physiology, exercise prescription, and functional anatomy. I am always looking for ways to expand my academic knowledge and life experience.
