Part of a senior management team involved for a Joint Venture with Hengtong Optics & Global Marine, the formation of HMN Technologies, as to delivery Turn-Key solutions and development for Submarine Networks.

Responsible for the delivery of a telecommunications sub-sea & terrestrial network, involving Huawei Technologies following the creation of a JV between Global Marine Systems and new entrant Huawei Marine Networks. Accountable for managing the delivery of network & operations strategic programs, resources and ensuring business outcomes in line with financial/time deliverables. Reporting into director level with line management responsibility for driving transmission technology introduction and associated release to operations process, change management, training and operational strategy implementation.

Seconded to System installation department following the successful development of CANTAT-3 transatlantic cable system as Companies prime Customer representative.As Operations installation manager successfully delivered sub-sea transatlantic CANTAT-3 (US$400M contract) system installation system segment between Faroe Island, Iceland and part way to US land station, with key customers Teleglobe, IPT and Telefonica.

Following University sponsorship placement at BNR-E (formally STL) research centre for the development of the world first all regenerative STM16 transatlantic cable system. Prime responsibility for microwave frequency circuit design for 2.5 GHz electrical regenerator, design stage through to ‘clean area’ manufacturing and final systems acceptance. Supported the design of further transatlantic optical amplifier systems TAT9 & TAT12, liaising directly with CEO (Saul Lanyado). Detailed test documentation and development of Integrated circuit level testing with silicon chip manufacturing site as part of a multi-site supply chain.
