As a Financial Accountant at EDF Trading my role involves collaborating with the Finance team on a variety of tasks, including:- Monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting and reporting for the Group and subsidiaries- Reviewing and ensuring data accuracy- Intercompany processes and consolidations- Preparing financial statements, management reports, and periodic financial presentations- Detailed analysis and reporting of other financial data and performance metrics- Supporting annual budget preparation, mid-term planning and periodic re-forecasting- Supporting preparation of EDFT Group Statutory Accounts- Assisting with other finance projects, commercial transactions, and process improvements

ICAEW Student Council (ISC) is the leading body for students studying the ACA. It brings together student representatives across the UK and from around the world, providing a voice and a feedback mechanism for thousands of fellow training students. I've volunteered to represent the Birmingham Chartered Accountant Student Society (BCASS).

Worked towards gaining the ACA qualification within the audit department to provide audit services and fieldwork for a variety of SME's, multi-academy trusts and other professional service firms across the West Midlands. Responsibilities also included statutory accounts preparation for small limited companies, as well as corporation tax and personal tax return duties.

Worked at a public practice accountancy firm to aid in the production of draft corporation tax computations and year-end financial accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships through the use of computer software such as Excel, and IRIS. Performed basic payroll duties using Sage 50 payroll software and assisted the office with internal office duties and necessary ad-hoc tasks.
