Enlightened Media Productions is a company dedicated to highlighting the oft unseen stories of individuals that seek to affect change in their communities. EMP engages in this work through documentary filmmaking. Most notable of which, is the project "Below Baldwin", which chronicles and documents the discovery of slave remains beneath a building at The University of Georgia, and the aftermath of its discovery on the Athens community. Through my work in this role, I have conducted interviews with workers within the Athens community, as part of production for an upcoming documentary that chronicles the experiences of service workers in Athens GA. Through my position with the organization, I have scheduled interviews with service workers, and community activists in Athens GA. I have drafted contracts and photo releases between the interviewees and the company. I have coordinated with the co-director to draft storyboards, as well as shot lists, and lighting schemes. I have operated as location manager as well, in securing permissions to shoot in locales in the Athens community. I have collaborated in drafting the interview questions to be used for the project.

Traveled to San Jose, Costa Rica, as well as Monteverde, as a photojournalism student with UGA Study Abroad.Created photographs and wrote travel blogs as content for the program's Environmental Journalism website: Attached below

As an IMPACT Site Leader, I, and my co-counselor planned an interstate trip from Athens, GA to New Orleans, LA during Spring Break of 2020. The trip focus was Environmental Justice, and I and my co-counselor planned every logistical aspect of the trip, from securing housing, to budgeting, and collaborating with New Orleans programs to create an immersive week-long exploration of environmental impact on the city of New Orleans. We drove our 13 participants to a multitude of sites within the Louisiana region, most notably on our trip was our volunteer work with the Indigenous Pointe Au Chien tribe--our collaboration with this group started a precedent and partnership between our organization and their community--one in which I hope is forged for years to come.

As an Orientation Leader for International Student Life, I functioned as an ambassador as well as mentor for the 300 plus International Students that arrived on campus in the summer of 2018. I and my team led the students through tours of the campus, as well as researched and created presentations highlighting the sundry of resources available to students through the University.

As a transfer student orientation leader, my responsibilities included operating as a mentor for the group of students that had transferred to the University in the Summer of 2018. I and my co-counselor organized and planned activities that would acclimate students to their University, as well as functioned as part of a support system in referring resources to better suit their individual needs and pursuits within their college career.
