Based in AMA office, I was working closely with TMP design team to assist them and review/approve plans for different localities around Auckland motorway. My main role in Auckland Motorway Alliance (AMA) TTM team was to form a workable methodology for maintenance work throughout Auckland region.

Primarily worked and specialises in the area of Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) for both Motorways and non-Motorways, congestion monitoring and traffic survey. I was involved in designing, reviewing and approving construction TMP plans for several major capital projects in the Auckland Region, including the Manukau Harbour Crossing (MHX), Victoria Park Tunnel (VPT), Newmarket Gateway Alliance (NGA), Papakura Interchange… Show more I worked with Beca as an Transportation Engineer for Year and half. Primarily worked and specialises in the area of Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) for both Motorways and non-Motorways, congestion monitoring and traffic survey. I was involved in designing, reviewing and approving construction TMP plans for several major capital projects in the Auckland Region, including the Manukau Harbour Crossing (MHX), Victoria Park Tunnel (VPT), Newmarket Gateway Alliance (NGA), Papakura Interchange Upgrade – NZTA, Auckland Motorway Alliance (AMA) and Well Connected Alliance (Waterview). This involves liaising with contractors to gain an understanding of construction methodology, sequencing and traffic conditions and approving TMPs when satisfied with the engineering requirements. This project allowed me to develop solid interpersonal and communication skills required to liaise with contractors and road controlling authorities in a multi-disciplinary team environment, often under tight time pressure. I was also involved in organising and co-ordinating traffic surveys for Beca Transportation. Key responsibilities involved under survey manager role are cost estimation for jobs, site inspection, producing data collection methodologies for each survey, estimates for number of surveyors, managing both raw and processed data, analysing results and co-ordinating with project managers, internal clients. Most of the survey relates to pedestrian movement, intersection manoeuvres, and travel time.
