Jasbir Sidhu is the founder of Corporate Risk Associates (CRA - November 2000), and is its past Managing Director (24 years of service). CRA is one of the largest integrated Risk, Safety & Human Factors consultancies and is renowned for the delivery of 1st class quality services to the Critical National Infrastructure. Today, CRA is part of the Assystem family, which is a major, leading, independent design engineering company in the Nuclear World.Jasbir holds an honours degree in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Manchester and an MBA from Surrey University. He has worked predominantly in the Nuclear Industry and is one of the UK’s leading Operational Risk Analysts with over 30 years of experience as an integrated Nuclear Safety Case specialist. He cut his teeth developing probabilistic risk models for the Civil Nuclear Power Generation Industry.Jasbir is passionate about sharing knowledge and considers it to be a strength - "it inspires us all to learn more to improve our offering to the market place for the greater good of society at large - learn more, share more, and so continues the cycle". To realise this vision of "Thought Leadership in Risk Management", Jasbir founded the UK Risk & Safety Forum 15 years ago. The Risk & Safety Forum attracts presenters and delegates from around the world; all keen to discuss and share knowledge on risk. Sharing knowledge is further enhanced by Jasbir being a guest lecturer at Imperial College London, Cambridge University and others on Nuclear Risk Analysis. He has also contributed to the development of IAEA technical documents on Nuclear Safety.During the last couple of years at CRA, Jasbir developed and launched the CRA Safety Case Development Academy to address the significant shortage of Nuclear Safety Case specialists in the Nuclear Industry.In January 2022, Jasbir was appointed as the President of the Nuclear Institute – www.nuclearinst.com and served a two-year term. The journey with the NI continues - Jasbir is the Immediate Past President of the Nuclear Institute and an Executive Board Member that promotes professionalism in the Nuclear Industry.Today, Jasbir is the MD of JJS Global Consultancy Ltd, focusing on delivering nuclear services - finance (via a Nuclear Investment Fund), insurance, licensing, and advisory across national and international projects and programmes. Jasbir is also the Nuclear Consultant to Lloyd’s Nuclear Syndicate 1176 which is part of the Chaucer Group.In his spare time, Jasbir is an enthusiastic choral singer and enjoys walking his dog, Juno.
