I am in the 6th and final year of the Applied Engineering Degree Apprenticeship (Product Creation) at JLR.During the first two years I completed a Foundation Degree at Warwick Trident College, partaking in a mix of academic and workshop modules, achieving a distinction.Subsequently, I spent the next four years completing a block release Applied Engineering degree at the University of Warwick- specialising in Product Creation. Throughout this time I was also working in JLR within the Body Structures Sealing team, learning Associative Vehicle Architecture CAD modelling (on CATIA and 3DExperience) before travelling throughout different departments in the business to build a wide breadth of knowledge in the following teams: • Programme Strategy CAD (on two vehicle programmes) • Body Service • Corrosion • CAE • Plant Vehicle Team (Launch)I am currently working as a Sealing Engineer in the Virtual Build (VB) team, responsible for delivering a functional prototype of a 26MY vehicle before taking the vehicle into production. This involves important aspects of sealing theory such as parts sourcing and process verification, liaising with the Engineering and Manufacturing teams to deliver a sealed vehicle.
