About Jasen Ritter
Leaning into a systems-based approach to problem-solving developed in industry and a decade of project-based instruction, I create experiential career learning opportunities for teachers and students and help bridge the gap between classrooms and careers. In my role on the Community Partnerships team for Project Lead The Way (PLTW), a non-profit specializing in PreK-12 transformative educational experiences for students and teachers, I provide strategy, analysis, and leadership related to industry-education engagement and community involvement. Prior to joining PLTW, I spent my career in the computer science and information technology industry before transitioning to the classroom to become one of the first PLTW Aerospace Master Teachers, co-authoring “Aerospace Engineering: From the Ground Up” in 2011” and founding First Robotics team Viperbots, which is now one of the premier robotics teams in Texas and serves as a model for industry, education, and community partnerships. I’ve presented across the nation to industry and education audiences, such as at PLTW Summits, STEM symposiums and Workforce Development conferences, on the value and logistics of building K-Career talent pipelines. I received my Bachelor of Science and graduate degrees from Florida State University and currently live in Indianapolis, Indiana with my wife where I am a member of the USATF National Championship Team, Indiana Elite Athletic Club
