As an ASA, I've been able to balance a strong work ethic, study time for actuarial exams, family obligations, and other responsibilities. This ability to handle multiple tasks allows me to work effectively and balance many daily challenges. This is also a trait I bring to work. I am able to demonstrate my abilities to learn concepts quickly, improve processes, and take on leadership responsibilities. I've had the opportunity to work on VBA code to improve actuarial models. I've used actuarial software such as MG-ALFA, PolySystems, and GGY Axis. I've also used SQL, Microsoft Access, Outlook, and Word on an almost daily basis. Through college, I took courses in SAS and R programming as well as Java and C++. I've found that those backgrounds help me learn and understand programming languages quickly. I enjoy programming languages and even built a game of Battleship using VBA code with an artificial intelligence to play against.
