I have always been interested in computers. One of my earliest memories was trying to launch Internet Explorer on my dad’s old computer (I’m talking kilobytes of RAM old). Everytime I double clicked on the icon, Internet Explorer would open, only for it not to be able to access the internet. Of course, I now know that it wouldn’t be able to access the internet because it didn’t have a wireless adapter; rather, it only had ethernet. But, as a 6 year old, the problem perplexed me. As I’ve grown up, I’ve learned more and more about the different abstractions that make computers possible. Currently, I want to design semiconductors, to influence the arrangement of transistors to maximize efficiency and performance. Experiences I've had include building a computer (including a scare when I thought my AIO wouldn't fit my case, even though I made sure it fit tolerances) and programming a board game launcher that runs chess, checkers, and connect four (I have never used so many arrays and objects in a program).
