The Junior Academy is a project-based learning program where students form international teams and work with STEM experts through an online community platform. Students participate in innovation challenges where they collaborate under the guidance of STEM mentors to design solutions to real-world problems. Below are the projects and teams I have collaborated with and worked on: Challenge 1: Ethical AIChallenge: Design a technical solution that addresses and considers one clearly outlined and defined issue that AI poses in our global society.Project Title: Explainable AI (XAI) Transparent AI Decision Making FrameworkOverview of Solution: This project develops a framework that makes AI decisions clear and understandable. Using tools like LIME and SHAP, our project will break down how AI models make predictions in areas like healthcare, finance, and criminal justice. Our goal is to ensure decisions are free from bias and meet regulatory standards like GDPR. The framework provides explanations that everyone—from engineers to everyday users—can grasp, ensuring transparency and fairness in AI systems.

As the primary Treasurer, I help manage the financial situation of the Atheltic Council. As a Student Volunteer at William Osler Health System, I support the hospital community by assisting patients, visitors, and staff to ensure a welcoming and efficient environment. My responsibilities include guiding visitors, managing essential tasks, and helping maintain a comfortable atmosphere for patients. This role has strengthened my interpersonal skills, taught me the importance of empathy and reliability, and deepened my understanding of healthcare operations. As the Vice President of Fundraising and Events for the Wellness Council, I lead initiatives aimed at promoting mental and physical well-being within the school community. I coordinate and oversee fundraising campaigns, organize impactful wellness events, and collaborate with team members to enhance student engagement and participation. This role has developed my strategic planning, leadership, and event management skills while allowing me to advocate for wellness and foster a supportive environment. As a dedicated member of my school's Robotics Club, I collaborate with teammates to design, build, and program robots for various challenges and competitions.
