I am deeply grateful to have participated as an Organising Committee member in Taqneeq 16.0.In my time there as an Executive in the Hospitality department, I learnt and improved upon various skills such as Marketing, Vendor Management, and Guest Experience/Customer Service.I was responsible for procuring beds for the Overnight Hackathon Event 'Cybercipher' which took place in MPSTME. It entailed handling the negotiations and managing the delivery and returning of the beds. I was in constant contact with the supplier. This helped me with 3rd Party Vendor Management.This tech fest had me working day and night, with me emailing, cold calling, and approaching other businesses to acquire deals in which I gained valuable experience in Marketing.I was responsible for On-Day Event Management, in which I helped various other departments in their tasks for the day.I also helped out another department with setting up one of their game stalls which involved Python, thereby furthering my troubleshooting experience.I was responsible for manning the stalls at 'Tech Apex', the pre-event to our festival. This taught me Customer Service and Management.Finally, I gained experience in preparing Gift Hampers for judges, and bringing them food/beverages to them. This helped me gain experience in Guest Service/Management.
