Improvement in the design of AFL helmets by Finite Element Analysis•A 3D solid model of helmet was developed from the existing shell layer and elements were assigned to different components using Hypermesh. •Material type and it’s properties were obtained from Pam Crush model and it was related to the parameters available on LS-Dyna. •Drop Tests were performed and the model was validated with the previously existing experimental results.•Various Impacts were performed between two Helmeted Head-Head impact and comparison was made between the older and the improved model in various aspectsValidation of Finite Element model of Human Eye.•The FE model of eye was validated against Kennedy and Duma’s experimental study on the effect of extraocular muscles.•The solver used in this was LS-Dyna and the pre processor used was Hypermesh.Development of Finite Element model of Human Spine•Gained knowledge on use of ANSYS ICEM, used in the development of FE model of Human Spine. AbaqusDetermination Fatigue life of Flip Chip Package, •Hypermesh was the meshing tool used to mesh the Flip Chip assembly•Analyse the assembly using Abaqus as the solver at the solder balls Effect of parameters on the fatigue life of flip chip package using Abaqus solver•Effect of mesh density, rate dependent variable and change in cyclic thermal loading on the fatigue life was studied using Abaqus. Efforts were made to compare similar simulation results from LS Dyna.
