In charge of the implementation of the Government of Malaysia's E-procurement system that includes quotation, tender, and direct purchase procurement modes. One of the key challenges was the on boarding of 50,000 SME suppliers and the associated change management with private and public sector users. Raised RM100 million funding through a private debt placement as SVP Finance. Promoted to COO by the shareholders which included the Government of Malaysia and NTT Data.Liaised with the bondholders and addressed their concerns regarding the delays in the project implementation, and its negative impact on cashflow.Enhanced the company's operating cashflow with new revenue streams that doubled our revenue to RM15m a year and maintained tighter cost control that resulted in a drop in operating expenses by 27%. Lead the refinancing of the bonds by securing a loan from Malaysian Debt Ventures. The refinancing reduced our debt services expenses from 8.125% to 6.5% per annum. Once the capital restructuring was completed, I successfully implemented a target focused organisational structure to bridge the disconnect between the technology and business divisions.

In charge of deal origination and structuring. AusAsean was a boutique investment advisory firm . I began in the Kuala Lumpur office before being seconded to headquarters in Sydney to work on tax efficient financing structure for BRL Hardy and Intag.

I formed Mutiara Asset Management as one of the first independent fund managers licenced by the Securities Commission. I also negotiated a investment partnership with Smith Barney Asset Management. Our investee companies were in IT outsourcing for the banking industry, automotive parts, car park operator, biotech environmental services and cleaning for office buildings.

Involved in the business and strategy planning for large infrastructure projects in Malaysia including the start up of Malaysia largest mobile telco (Maxis), MEASAT and KL Twin Towers. These three projects amongst others required investment and I was part of a team that meet potential investors as well as prime contractors. My responsibility was the financial modelling for the business.
