At Pair Anything, I work in a team as a User Research Intern led by the company's product lead. Here my responsibilities include executing interviews with the various tiers in this B2B2C company including small chain and family grocery markets, small wineries, and wine consumers in e-commerce and retail. I analyze qualitative and quantitative results to evaluate solutions in order to increase business partnerships, identify product marketplace, and iterate functionality of the company in accordance to a demand-side sale perspective. I use a variety of research methods such as field studies, interviews, and surveys along with leveraging visual communication through empathy maps, customer journeys, JTBD framework, and user personas to gain a user-centered understanding. I present and convey insights to cross-functional teams and stakeholders to facilitate concise, productive communication towards development decisions of the startup and growth of local businesses.

I create infographics and curate posts using Meta business to boost community exposure of the UC Davis Center for Mind & Brain, a research center involving the collaboration of divergent disciplines such as social, biological, computational, and medical perspectives to research the question, "how does the mind arise from the biology of the brain?" In addition, I track social media engagement through communicating with users and sharing opportunities for engagement like internships, outreach programs, workshops, presentations, and research projects.

At CodeLab, I hold a role of a UX Designer for an automated email website. For this product development cycle, I collaborate with a cross-functional team including project managers, software developers, and mentors to hone my skills as a UX researcher and designer. I conduct user studies such as competitive analyses, interviews, and usability testing in order to empathize with the users to create an efficient, accessible, and streamlined product. This is followed by a series of low/mid wireframes, high fidelity prototypes, and ideating between the developers and other UX designers on this cross-functional team.

The Oversight Committee branch in AISC reflects a small consulting team creating ethical frameworks for the organization, providing a checks and balance system, and ensures AISC principles of diversity, accessibility, and AI literacy are upheld throughout all initiatives. As an associate of the Oversight Committee I collaborate with AISC board members, collective members, and the broader community to ensure club's actions adhere to our Ethics Framework. In addition, as a UX Research manager of the committee, I co-facilitate research using methods mirroring my UX skills seen throughout the product design life cycle in order to gather information of members' perspectives and experiences in club initiatives, events, and their overall involvement. Specifically, I led workshops to create feedback channels such as conducting interviews, focus groups, and surveys as well as share general conversation with the community in order to gain an empathetic understanding of their background and aspirations as future minds driving the rapidly developing world of technology. We review AISC's impact on new projects/events to ensure the organization mitigates negative repercussions and promote positive benefits by analyzing causes, impacted groups, and execute tangible actions the organization can take to address these pain points. Insights found by our branch is then shown to our board through quarterly presentations.

In this lab, we are investigating how humans and AI express love. As a research assistant, I manage up to 12 behavioral studies weekly by proactively contacting participants, preparing and orchestrating the in-person behavioral study for 3 different variable conditions, as well as record and organize data collected while maintaining privacy for each participant. When conducting experiment protocols, I ensure consistency in my engagements with participants across the various conditions to uphold reputable data.

At #include, I hold a role of a UX Designer currently redesigning a website and later creating a mobile app for a local non-profit organization in the Sacramento area, Paul Hom Asian Clinic. For this 5 week website design sprint, I collaborate with mentors and other designers to develop a handoff design for our developers to later have a full functioning product. I conduct user studies such as interviews, focus groups, usability testing, competitive analyses, and surveys in order to empathize with the users for an efficient and humane product. This is followed by a series of low/mid wireframes, high fidelity prototypes, and ideating between the design team, client, and developers in order to create the best possible product.

I collaborated with a team of 10+ individuals to research how social media algorithms adapt to unverified underage users and mentally struggling minors. Some tasks included in the internship: each member curating 20 personalize profiles, documenting algorithm auditing information in Microsoft Excel Sheets, navigating Youtube, TikTok, and Instagram activity, analyzed content and perform comparisons coding.
