Viering, Jentschura & Partner is a worldwide operating patent and law firm with international experience. It was founded in 1976, and currently has international branch offices in Munich, Düsseldorf, Dresden, Singapore, and Taiwan (Taipei). I work with clients and inventors to draft specifications for filing patent applications. I review office actions and cited documents, provide recommendations to clients, and respond to/instruct foreign associates in responding to office actions from various jurisdictions, such as PCT, US, Singapore, Europe, Japan, China, Korea, Australia, India, Malaysia, and Taiwan. I mentor trainees, carry out prior art searches to ascertain patentability of invention disclosures, and advise clients on patent strategy and prosecution matters.

ETPL is the technology transfer arm of the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) in Singapore. I managed the Intellectual Property (IP) portfolio of the Institute of Materials Research and Engineering (IMRE). I evaluated technology disclosures and carried out prior art searches. I worked with IP firms and inventors in patent filing, addressing Office Actions, obtaining patent grants, and carrying out Freedom To Operate (FTO) and due diligence. I also worked with the commercialization division in technology licensing and spin-off.

Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing was the world's third largest dedicated independent semiconductor foundry. I carried out cycle time optimization, bottleneck analysis, and time-studies on tools in the chemical mechanical polishing (CMP) and etch modules. I also carried out simulation and tool modelling for capacity planning. I wrote macros using VBA for Excel automation and was also the capex management representative of my Fab.

CRI/Criterion Manufacturing Singapore serves the chemical and petrochemical industry by supplying catalysts, and providing related services such as catalyst regeneration and catalyst sulfiding.I used SAP to plan the bill of materials (BOM) for manufacturing, carried out process troubleshooting, and production planning. I also worked with the research and development group to conduct trial runs for new products and processes.
