Fandom Charities is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established in 2007 for the purpose of raising funds for charitable organizations through fandom events, conventions, special appearances and media events, and to provide related educational activities. The Hellmouth Convention is one of the events organized by Fandom Charities. This is an unpaid position, but I feel that raising money for charity is always a worthwhile pursuit. I have had the pleasure of interacting with the many of the people who attend our events and ensuring that they have the best experience we can provide. Registration tends to be the first place attendees go, and so it is our job to make their first convention experiences good ones.Responsibilities included: - Liaising with other department heads- Monitoring the Eventeny event page and badge sales- Organizing department shifts- Handling both pre-paid attendees and on-site purchases with credit cards and cash- Problem-solving as necessary, when complaints arise- Ensuring a positive guest experience, so that they will want to return for future events- Answering questions and providing directions
