I have been working in the field of substance abuse for over 10 years. I developed programs for new and returning clients to familiarize and orient them in medicated assisted treatment. With a team of health care professionals I assisted in the development of a pilot program to increase variations in opioid treatment with buprenorphine. I worked towards creating community linkages with HAART and other community agencies including the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights, Lifelong Medical, Kaiser Permanente and HEPPAC.I currently support a multidisciplinary team of therapist, case managers, childcare coordinators, community health outreach workers and substance use counselors to provide holistic recovery services. I have developed an MSW internship program to support the guidance and education of MSW students particularly in the field of substance use and harm reduction.I have always had a passion for human rights and social justice. I have championed for the most vulnerable population; those with mental illness and substance use (co-occurring disorders), individuals with sexual offences, individuals with HIV and HCV, and undocumented individuals.Through empathy, compassion, motivational interviewing, problem solving therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, Seeking Safety, and case management I have been able to serve those in need.My goal is to continue to strive towards social justice for all individuals specifically individuals with co-occurring disorders and legal issues. It is my goal to work for an organization that supports my passion.

  Providing individual psychotherapy for adults focusing on trauma, grief and loss, PTSD, depression, anxiety and addiction from a harm reduction, relational and social justice lens. I provide clinical supervision to students and associates seeking clinical hours for licensure. Continuing in my passion for education, I provide trainings in person and virtually in various topics including: Harm Reduction, Trauma Informed Care, De-Colonizing Therapy Approaches, Recovery and Loss, and more.
