About Jasmin Cox

I was born and raised in the Twin Cities, MN, and graduated from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI with a BS in Information Systems. Growing up in the cold northern states, you gain a certain level of talent of bringing light and energy into the workday, even when there's a snowstorm happening right outside your window! This exact talent is why I have been recognized by my peers both personally and professionally, as someone who brings energy and fun to the workplace. Having been the morale captain of my past dance team, I know perfectly well what happens when a team is too overworked with no fun - Which is why even on the busiest of days I try to add a light-hearted gif to my Teams messages to uplift my teammates.While having fun in the workplace is something we look for in a team, understanding that people have varying perspectives and cultural differences that exemplify who they are, is essential to knowing how to interact with and work alongside them. This exact reason is why I strive to improve my own perspective by having a growth mindset. By doing so, when it comes to not only my work, but life as well, I can better communicate to a variety of people and backgrounds. Which is a must have when working for a global technology company.Just like people, technology has its own complexities unique to each product or service. With its rapid growth and constant updates to documentation, this can make it difficult to keep up and fully understand what improvements are of significance/relevance to an end user's environment. Through my work as a Microsoft Teams Customer Engineer, during a time where hybrid-work took off, I learned what it means to communicate effectively and provide information efficiently to admins of several strategic accounts. From delivering workshops, providing technical information, and guiding customers on their Teams journeys, being able to convey key aspects of a technical feature in common language, is a skill that I pride myself in having and will continue to develop. With that said, I'm excited to learn what other skills I possess and knowledge I'll learn as I continue to encounter new people, topics, and opportunities!
