Supervisor at The George Inn Maulden. Part Time. Alongside my studies at University. I started at The George in spring 2022, enjoying the fast paced environment and dealing with friendly local village customers. In January 2023 I got promoted to a Supervisor role which gave me the chance to lead my work colleagues in meetings and on shift, guiding them through the busy periods of summer leading to the build up of christmas.

Soper&Co is a coffee and gift shop. I worked here during the years of Covid-19 which was a difficult time for everyone. But I had the opportunity and pleasure working during this period, to expand my knowledge and experience on marketing for the business, sales and customer facing. I am a trained barista, who enjoys making hot and cold drinks, serving cakes all while dealing with the busy shops transactions. During the busy months of December I helped manage stock and pricing ready to be put out on the shop floor. Working in a small yet fast paced environment has gained me many skills and grew my confidence. I managed the instagram page creating reels, stories and posts keeping up with the latest trends and keeping the platform fun and engaging !!

On the Towns home match days, as a retail assistant, I selected items of clothing, accessories and merchandise I believe would be the best upsell for that particular day. At the beginning of my shift I would be handed a brief, understanding customers interests and needs. I then proceeded to enter each private box selling the selected items I had chosen. Working within these private boxes enabled me to build a relationship with the customers and gaining me to understand their preferences in what they wanted to purchase. At the end of each day, I would sit down and look at my sales, understanding the what I need to promote for our next match day. Within this role revealed to my interest in sale marketing also as I enjoyed selecting different merchandise each match day and understanding the customers wants.
