As the Senior Applications Manager, I oversaw the quality control and successful submission for affordable housing funding applications in NRP markets. These markets include but are not limited to Ohio, North Carolina, Mid-Atlantic (DC, Maryland, Virginia), Georgia, Indiana, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania. Within my role I also provided developers with analysis and strategize funding constructs, submission requirements, and underwriting frameworks. I assisted in developing strategic approaches to entering new affordable housing markets and applying alternative financing tools.

Cornerstone Group was established over 25 years ago, in 1993, and since has developed over 16,000 affordable, market rate, and mixed income units within the State of Florida.• Acquisition: Lead land acquisition by identifying prospective development opportunities, proximity scoring (per Florida Housing Finance Corporation (FHFC) guidelines), gather and review due diligence, and oversee contract negotiation and compliance• Finance: Oversee project financing by submitting successful funding applications to the State, local municipalities, and other financial sources; completion of project underwriting including construction permitting; and coordinate financial closing amongst lenders and attorneys. This includes tax credits – 9% and 4%, tax-exempt bonds, programs such as SAIL, CDBG, HOME, construction and permanent loans, and local funding sources. • Project Management: Supervise construction and project completion by managing the contractor, subs, and various professionals; maintaining strict budget and scheduling restrictions and creatively identifying opportunities for savings; problem solving and strategic planning; submit project revisions to the local building department; and coordinate inspections and project delivery to Property Management
