As a Set Decorator, I love to put my hands together and decorate a beautiful set. Combining marketing knowledge with a passion for design, this role has allowed me to display my eye-for-detail and administrative skill sets. I've learned to execute the client's needs per the designer's plan of execution and my experience has been in television, film and event production.

I've worked on two corporate conferences and one influencer marketing conference. I perform various duties like: front facing customer service for small (30-100) and large (1000+) audiences, orchestrate fluid event transitions between activities and segments to ensure of a timely run of show, prioritize teamwork with audio/visual team utilizing strong interpersonal and communication skills, and lastly, support the producers as communications liaison with the clients to ensure shared goals are achieved. Being in this role has educated me on the value of bringing folks together to create awareness, inspire change and creativity, and promote products/services.

As the Event Manager, I coordinated and hosted my very own event called 'Creators with Intent'. With help from a team of friends, the vision for this networking event was to encourage collectivity for Oakland's BIPOC digital and visual creatives. I invited folks across the film and events industry, and those who are also aspiring creatives. Attendees took part in a networking immersive experience by playing four games that would encourage: vocal confidence about their career goals; an elevator pitch for potential clients and collaborators; intentionality and understanding in cross-functional networking (with divergent roles); lastly, the ability to admire self and the avoidance of imposter syndrome. In the future, I'd like to coordinate events geared towards marketing and public relations tools for local creatives and businesses.

As a Television & Film Production Assistant, I have worked on thirty-five commercials and three indie features, while collaborating with a diverse range of high-profile personalities in the entertainment industry. My role has entailed the following: assisting producers with crew and talent paperwork, prioritizing time management on set, communications liaison between marketing clients and First Assistant Director, and carefully handling equipment inventory and set up. In this role, I have been able to discover the necessity and the value of utilizing digital arts and media to advertise products and services that can be appreciated by all people.

I learned cinematography skills with an emphasis on the Producer's role in pre-production and on-set production. BAYCAT was my introduction to photo and video production, and is the pillar that catapulted me into the television and film industry. Assigned the Producer role, I am privileged to have collaborated with a team of mentees to learn how to create a professional music video (starring local Bay Area talent). I also learned how to use Asana to manage tasks, how to edit a portfolio reel, and gained production assistant experience working on an ad for the Golden State Warriors. I am a proud BAYCAT alumni.
