I am a graduate student from the Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BsCN) from Ryerson University located in Toronto, Ontario. As a new graduate from Ryerson University, I completed the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) on July 22nd, 2016. With a passion for health care, patient-centered quality care, and building therapeutic nurse-patient relationships, I have gained experience in a variety of healthcare settings. As a nursing student I had the opportunity to work alongside health care professionals at William Osler Health’s Acute Elderly Care, Oncology, Pediatrics Outpatient Clinic, and Day Surgery (Postoperative and Preoperative Care); Extendicare Inc.; Peel Long Term Care: Tall Pines; and Ryerson University. My most recent practicum in day surgery at Brampton Civic Hospital allowed me to professionally develop and grow as an independent nurse, giving me the opportunity to critically analyze and appropriately respond to adverse patient outcomes.As a new graduate nurse I am an eager learner and look forward to gaining knowledge and skills in diverse healthcare settings.
