I am currently working towards my Level 6 young children’s learning and development with Leeds Beckett University as I am enjoying progressing in this job role. I have recently passed my level 4 young children’s learning and development aswell as my level 3 diploma that I passed the year before with a result of A* which certainly encouraged me to develop my learning further. It is in my biggest interest to find a job that I am strongly passionate about. I have had plenty of experience in the past 3 years with the early years that I have completed alongside my course at various nursery’s and schools which has allowed me to see the various aspects of learning that each unique setting works with when helping develop a child’s milestones. I have worked with children from birth to 5 years and this experience allowed me to improve my practical practice in the setting. I have had experience at Brambly Hedge, Unicorn Nursery as-well as Smawthorne Primary School and are hoping that there are plenty more opportunities to come whilst I improve my learning and continue to complete level 6 with Leeds Beckett University. During level 3 and 4 I have planned various activities with children of all abilities and individual needs which was the part of the course that I enjoyed the most as I was working hands on with the children. All the children got involved with my activities and enjoyed taking part. Where improvement was needed I always made sure that I differentiated the activities to meet each child’s individual needs to make sure the child was getting the best suitable practice for their development. I have worked with a SENCO child meaning I have also had to plan activities around disabilities ensuring that all the equipment provided was also safe to use and that parent partnership was also followed as toys were brought to nursery from home to ensure she felt comfortable working with me in a new activity. The career I am aiming towards at the end of my level 6 is a reception teacher at a primary school as I believe this career is extremely rewarding as I feel I am doing something to help others. Without primary school teachers children would be unable to read and write meaning this job role is extremely important. I also enjoy babysitting for family members as this gives me opportunities to plan and complete activities for further experience in the early years sector. I also have 100 percent attendance consistently throughout college which shows I am reliable and that I have commitment to the job role. I am seeking employment and am willing to drive a distance.
