Through tutoring I aim to make English a more relatable, interactive and enjoyable subject for all. Being a young adult, and recently being in education myself, I believe I am in the perfect position to help younger students feel inspired to find their own way of approaching English as a subject. I tutor students aged between 5-16 years old though online lessons. Finding out students' personal interests and staying updated with activities they partake in outside of school, I am able to create personalised lessons for each student. I aim to incorporate students' interests to approach the materials they are required to study in a way that can intrigue and entertain them. I intend to spark an interest in the subject and aid students to develop an optimistic outlook and hard-working skills so that they can feel encouraged and proud of the work that they produce. Additionally, working online creates the amazing opportunity to reach out to students around the country (or world!) without being restricted by travel.

Serving customers in the restaurant and working behind the bar, my position at the Dam Inn was a fast paced and enjoyable one. I developed my people-skills, nuancing my abilities of being a welcoming, friendly face whilst being able to time manage meeting the needs of several customers at once. Whether I was chatting to the regular customers or welcoming in new ones I made it my responsibility to ensure everybody had a positive experience every time.
