Hello! My name is Jasmine, and I am a psychology graduate student at Texas A&M - Central Texas. I am pursuing a Master’s of Applied Psychology degree with an emphasis in Higher Education. My personal research has focused on the emotional outcomes of friendship changes during the college transition.I pride myself in my experience as a researcher--I have participated in a research internship for over a year now that has given me the opportunity to write about my research and present it at various conferences. I have presented my research at Texas A&M Pathways Research Symposium, the Southwestern Psychological Association Convention, and Texas Undergraduate Research Day. Not only have I harnessed various skills as a researcher, I have also become better rounded professionally as an enrollment counselor at Galen College. I assist my students in meeting the admissions requirements of the institution, whether it be through accessing study materials for their entrance exam or finding sources of financial aid. Not only do I assist my students in this way, as I also make sure each of my students has the most thorough information that they need to make the best decisions for their academic journeys. I have been described as highly motivated and positive. One of my favorite quotes is, "There is no 'right time,' there is just time and what you choose to do with it."
