About Jasmine Callaghan
My current career is in commercial operations in the gaming industry. I've enjoyed building rapport with both a mixture of AAA, AA, and indie publishers including etailers, and now have extended this towards working for a publisher. Earlier in my career, I worked in retail at GAME, then later on in my first office-based role at Nintendo, moving then into esports at FACEIT then trying my hand at working within gaming development at mobile gaming studio; Hutch.I've racked up just over ten years of working in the gaming industry and I know it's my calling and where my passions lie. Whatever the game environment, I love seeing games brought to life, and myself and the rest of the community enjoy them.When I'm not in the middle of some calibrations, I enjoy playing games between my PC and consoles, at times cosplaying my favourite gaming or film/TV characters at conventions, learning and adding a new board game to the collection, watching anime, and collecting more nendoroids and figmas from my favourite franchises. And I can never say no to a good show; especially if it's a gaming symphony, a favourite band, or a theatre production. Aside from my hobbies, I've utilised my BA in Writing for Media Arts to aim to publish a book surrounding the importance of mental health and self care and have proudly joined the Women in Gaming organisation as an ambassador. I look forward to being an advocate for women in the gaming industry and sharing my journey.
